In this curriculum for ages 10-14, students will be guided through the basics of working in food service in their FACS class.
Students will learn how to:
•Apply for a job
•Develop interviewing skills, and
•Practice on-the-job work skills utilizing basic food preparation techniques.
Using a simulated bakery setting, students will learn necessary job requirements such as teamwork, communication skills, independence and responsibility. The unit Includes activities, ideas for guest speakers and field trips, worksheets, a short video that explains various jobs available in food services and more!
