Session I - June 24-25, 2014, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Session II - July 8-9, 2014, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Location: Minnesota History Center, 345 Kellogg Blvd. W., St. Paul

Cost: $200 ($180 for MNHS members)

Calling all budding fashionistas. At this two day workshop, you'll use 21st century technology to create your own designs inspired by historic textiles. On Day 1, you'll enjoy a behind the scenes look at historic textiles, and following a conversation with design pros, you'll create an original textile design inspired by the past and your own creativity. On Day 2, you'll work with instructors to create an original, wearable T-shirt incorporating historic inspiration and your textile ideas.

Open to young designers aged 12-16. Limit 12 students per workshop.
