Statewide Community College Centers Funded
Jobs for the Future: State-Level Student Success Centers
Jobs for the Future (JFF) is a national nonprofit that works to ensure educational and economic opportunity for all. JFF, with support from the Kresge Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, has issued the State-Level Student Success Centers request for proposals (RFP) to improve community college completion by creating a new Student Success Center in up to four states. (Student Success Centers organize a state’s community colleges around common action to accelerate their efforts to improve student outcomes.) Through this RFP, JFF will provide $250,000 annually for two years to states selected to launch a Student Success Center. An applying organization must be a two-year college system, community college association, or other statewide entity in any state in the U.S., excluding the seven states that currently belong to the Student Success Center Network (Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, and Texas). The application deadline is October 9, 2015. Visit the JFF website to download the RFP.
