And the Winner of the 2013 Super Bowl is…Oatmeal!
Everyone knows breakfast is an important part of the day. With schedules so often rushed in the mornings, how can schools get kids excited about including breakfast in their daily routines? One organization—Fuel Up To Play 60 is generating plenty of excitement with their current breakfast contest.
Fuel Up To Play 60 is a program sponsored by the National Dairy Council and the NFL to encourage kids to make a commitment to healthy eating and 60 minutes of physical activity every day. Kids in schools across the country are participating in the various challenges and rewards offered through the program.
The current challenge is called the Super Bowl Breakfast Challenge. Students are encouraged to fill out a proposal template on how they think their school can creatively serve oatmeal for breakfast. They can include pictures of their proposed recipes or fellow classmates demonstrating excitement over participating in the challenge.
Contest winners will receive a trip for two to the Super Bowl in New Orleans this coming February, and everyone who participates will enjoy with fun of trying new ways to eat oatmeal for breakfast. To learn more, visit http://students.fueluptoplay60.com/demo/challenges
