This mini-unit focuses on world nutrition and the contrasting realities associated with it.

While many people in industrialized countries suffer from diseases related to excessive food intake, in developing countries, 15 children die every second from inadequate food intake. This mini-unit reviews those contrasting realities throughout the world.

Appropriate for grades 6-12.
