North St. Francois School District in Missouri managed by Chartwells celebrated National School Breakfast Week in a big way. Fun displays, exciting menus, and raffles all play a role in this weeks' celebration. Way to go!
We are doing Green Eggs and Ham for Lunch K-6 along with Sneeches peaches, King’s Stilts, Cat in the Hat Hashbrown’s and Dr. Seuss’ Birthday Cake. We also had a “Name that Menu “contest in the K-2 building around Dr. Seuss theme for the remainder of the week’s lunch menu items. The winning class for each day will be treated to either a pizza party or parfait party served and prepared by the café ladies. Associates will be dressing up in Dr. Seuss Character costumes.
Also at the K-2 and 3-4 grade buildings we will do the “Make the Grade Breakfast promo” and give up Special stickers to students eating breakfast the 1st week of March. (Dairy Council Promo)
At the Secondary level-we are having a raffle for movie tickets. Every student who eats breakfast week of March 2-6 will get a chance in the basket for a set up movie tickets.
Each building will display posters talking about importance of breakfast. (these materials came from Learning Zone)
We will have Breakfast Bulletin Boards at K-2 and 3-4 buildings. (these materials came from Learning Zone)
