Minnesota Governor, Mark Dayton proclaims December 3 as  Family and Consumer Sciences Day  in Minnesota 
Several days ago MAFCS professionals across the state of Minnesota received an email about the national "Dine-In" For Healthy Families.  This is an important opportunity to promote Family and Consumer Sciences and gather evidence nationally about what we do in our profession. We urge each one of you to take advantage of this opportunity which is being supported by AAFCS. The work has been done for you.! !

On our national Family & Consumer Sciences website, you’ll find everything you need to participate in and promote Family & Consumer Sciences Day – “Dining In” for Healthy Families – such as

  • Proclamation template for local officials (just fill in the info for your community
  • Social media graphics for your network
  • Family mealtime resources
  • “Dining In” commitment and sticker order form
  • Logo to add to your email signature block

You’ll also find listed, a link to the FCCLA at the Table initiative.  It is filled with resources for secondary students.
