K-12 School Gardens Supported
Nature Works Everywhere Garden Grants
The Nature Works Everywhere Garden Grants program, an initiative of The Nature Conservancy, supports the building, amendment, or revitalization of gardens on school campuses throughout the U.S. The purpose of this program is to provide teachers with the resources to use school gardens to teach conservation science and engage students in understanding the value of nature, while creating spaces that enhance the natural landscape of schools and communities. The program provides cash grants of $1,000 to $2,000 as well as educational webinars, coaching and support, access to curriculum and teaching materials, and a tablet (iPad, Kindle Fire, etc.). The application deadline is October 28, 2015. K-12 public and charter schools are eligible to apply. Visit the Nature Works Everywhere website to download the Garden Grant Description and submit an online application.
