Support for Consumer Financial Literacy Projects

From our friends at GrantStation...

Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment: Consumer Financial Education Fund
The mission of the Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment is to support grassroots initiatives to inspire community action to protect the environment, consumers, and public health. The Foundation’s Consumer Financial Education Fund supports projects that relate to consumer financial education, with an emphasis on issues related to large financial institutions, basic banking, access to financial services, retail banking accounts, and underbanked or vulnerable populations. Nonprofit organizations throughout the U.S. are eligible to apply for grants of up to $100,000. Within the overall framework of educating consumers about financial issues and increasing consumer financial literacy, eligible projects must specifically relate to teaching consumers how to manage their finances to avoid overdraft fees. Funded projects may be regional, statewide, or national in scope. Online letters of inquiry are due April 8, 2016; full proposals must be submitted by June 24, 2016. Visit the Foundation’s website to download the Consumer Financial Education Fund Request for Proposals.
