ATTENTION PLEASE! Summer solstice will be June 21, 2017. Are you ready to enjoy the "longest" day of the year? We over here at Learning zoneXpress sure hope so!
The summer solstice (or estival solstice), also known as midsummer, occurs when a planet's rotational axis, in either northern or southern hemispheres, is most inclined toward the star that it orbits. This is the northern solstice in the northern hemisphere and the southern solstice in the southern hemisphere.
Make your summer solstice an exceptional one this year by doing something different. Go to a different park, try a new recipe, create a scavenger hunt; do something to recognize this day in a different way this year.
